Brett  Matherne, LAC is the owner and CEO of New Start Recovery. He graduated from Nicholls State University.  Brett has 26  years of experience in supervising, administration, and counseling in the addiction field. Brett is a Licensed Addiction Counselor. He has 33  years of recovery and sobriety himself. He was born and raised in  Houma, LA, and brings his personal experience and understanding of the unique culture of South La. Brett is married with one son. Brett enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. 

Brittany Neyland, LPC provides clinical and treatment services for our female clients enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program. Brittany completed her ungraduated degree and master's degree in psychology through Nicholls State University. She is Licensed professional Counselor. She has extensive experience working with clients and families in addiction in treatment and services. Brittany was born and raised in Terrebonne Parish. She has one daughter.

Our staff has over 37 years of sobriety and recovery.

We work with fully licensed therapists, addictionologists, psychiatrists, and physicians that have a strong background and experience in working in the addiction field.
